Our very popular basic courses on a bigger sailboat in Croatia! Lovely courses with lots of sailing
and lots of social cohabitation. Very popular courses! In Croatia, we sail on Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440.
Four cabin sail yacht with a total of 8 berths. (3 or 4 boats depending on week.)
The course is Saturday-Saturday with accommodation and we depart from Trogir Saturday afternoon and will be back on Friday
afternoon to Trogir. The course is six days, Sunday-Friday.
Sailstar arranges one week in Croatia in spring and two weeks in the autumn and these respectively weeks have different destinations.
The first week (week 18 and 40 respectively) are the destinations Solta, Hvar, Vis, Brac, while the second week
(week 41) goes north to Kornati National Park and surrounding islands.
Instructor and skipper is Tomas Sandström, responsible for Sailstar and with many years of experience from Croatia, other
skippers are Marcus Alm, Rodney Hendy and Per-Åke Johnson.
You can get sailing certificate 1 (Seglarintyg 1) and if you have this and Yachtsmans certificate (Förarintyg), you can get Sailing Certificate 2.

- Necessary knowledge No prerequisites, this is a basic course. However, participants may swim 200 meters in open water. For the level 2 course week 41 you need to have Seglarintyg 1 or corresponding level of experience.
- Location: We start from Trogir, Baotic Marina, Seget. The nearest airport (7 km) is Split Airport. Arrival suitably Saturday morning and departure preferably Saturday the following week if you do not choose to stay in Trogir or Split any extra day.
- Price: 11 950 SEK.
- Included in the course fee:
- Sailing course level 1 (or 2= for six days
- Accomodation onboard in a double bed for 7 nights.
- Towels and bed sheets
- Tourist tax
- Experienced instructor and skipper onboard.
- Course documentation.
- Not included in the course fee:
- Travel to the marina, closest airport is Split.
- Harbour fees, national park fees or fuel for the boat.
- Food onboard, breakfasts and lunches and some dinners onboard. Self-cost price, Calculate approx €200 for the two above items per person.
- Transfer to and from airport.
- Own restaurant visits
- Language: Our Croatia courses are primarily in Swedish. The instructors are Swedish and English speaking.
