A week in the Greek light, with the Aegean Sea as your classroom. Six days of course, seven nights on board – and dinners under the stars.
We start from Olympic Marine in Lavrion, about 30 minutes from Athens airport, and live and sail on board s/y Agrippa, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440. The route follows the Greek mainland or goes into the gulfs around the Peloponnese – calm waters, short legs and plenty of time to practise.
We practise sailing, manoeuvring and navigation in real conditions – and in the evenings there's Greek food, crystal-clear water and starry nights moored in small harbours or sheltered bays.
The question we get most often: When do I need to be there? Check-in on the boat is at 17:00 on Saturday. The course starts at 09:00 on Sunday. Check-out is by 09:00 the following Saturday at the latest. We shop for provisions on Saturday afternoon, so if you have arrived by then you can join in.
The second most common question What do I need to bring? Bed linen, life jackets and beach towels are on the boat, so you don't need to bring those. Bring swimwear, sunglasses, sun protection, some warmer clothes and a good set of rain/sailing gear. You can get wet both from above and from sea spray.
The third most common question How do I get from the airport to the marina? By taxi – we add you to a WhatsApp group so you can coordinate your arrival times and share a taxi.
