Sailstar trains sailors for Sailing Certificates 1, 2 and 3 (Seglarintyg) according to the NFB syllabus. Here we explain how it works and how to get your certificate.
The Swedish sailing certificates (Seglarintyg) are issued by NFB – the Swedish National Board for Boating Education (Nämnden för Båtlivsutbildning). They are voluntary but serve as recognised proof of your sailing competence. All certificates are now digital and managed via the NFB Båtintyg app.
Note: You can only take the digital sailing certificate if you have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) and BankID.
You can independently handle a smaller sailboat in coastal waters in good weather. No previous experience required – achieved by completing a basic course.
Exam fee: SEK 175 to Sailstar for conducting the exam + SEK 175 to NFB for the exam licence
